Lead Pastor - Michael Fleming
Yes, that is 4 kids and yes we are crazy. I have been a vagabond for much of my life - living in California, New York, Texas, and Panama. My roles have been as varied as operating a start up, business development for a computer hardware company, and as a community groups director. Ministry is not a glamorous gig, and I never thought I'd be leading a church. What I am passionate about is building into others and being a part of a local church that is Christ-exalting and life-giving. I've been married for almost 10 years to the most unbelievable woman on earth - Cherise. We have 4 kiddos - 3 boys and 1 sweet, perfect, and un-spoiled little girl.
The 411:
I am currently in the process of building a core team of families who want to be a part of a movement to reach North Denver. Over the next 6 months we will be gathering in coffee shops to share the vision and meeting in homes to pray for God to be at work. If you are looking to be a part of a team that uses its gifts to reach those who are disconnected and lost, join in the adventure of a lifetime. We are going to have a lot of fun as we watch God at work through our efforts!
Body Life Pastor - Kraig Kubicek
Like Michael, I too am a bit of a nomad. I was born in Oklahoma, grew up outside of New Orleans, spent time in Fort Worth at Texas Christian University, and then in Branson, MO. After graduating from TCU, I attended the Kanakuk Institute and spent one final summer at camp where I met my beautiful Bride. In the middle of that journey, God gave me a passion for something I never thought I would be passionate for: the local church. That passion brought me to Watermark Community Church in Dallas, TX where I was on staff for three years. This past summer, Amanda and I were married on May 17, 2008 at the Kanakuk Chapel, the very place where we first met. After a great vacation in Costa Rica, we moved out here to start this crazy ride called church planting.
Colorado is the first place I would actually call home even though we have only lived here for a short time. We are definitely thrill seekers. I love rock climbing, skiing, hiking, or anything else that lets me enjoy the beauty of the Rockies and engage with people. Engaging with people pretty much sums up my life and my job. I love what I do and pray that God continues to bless this crazy group we call Watermark Church!
